Careers
Students and graduates
Three of our six division presidents joined the company as engineers or technicians. Every year we take on 220 graduate engineers, 400 interns and, from 2026, 150 apprentices funded by our seventy-fifth anniversary fund.
Graduate Engineering Program
Two years, four six-month placements in at least two divisions, a mentor in each, and a permanent role at the end. Graduates work on real projects from their first week: recent graduates have helped commission Toronto North, verified ML-7 cutting envelopes at Kalgoorlie and written firmware that is now on a million doors.
Applications for the 2027 program close on 30 November 2026. Apply for the Graduate Engineering Program 2027.
Internships
Paid summer internships of ten to twelve weeks in all six divisions, for students in their penultimate year. Applications open in January.
Apprenticeships
Our apprentices train as technicians in engineering, data centers, field service and manufacturing, combining work with study for a recognized qualification. In January 2026 we established a £7.5 million fund to support 750 apprentices over five years in communities near our sites.
Visits and tours
Toronto DC1 and Halsworth Park run tours for university students twice a year. Halsworth Park is also open to the public on the first Saturday of each month until the end of 2026.
