AccessNet K-Series controllers
Keypad, card and biometric access controllers for one door or forty thousand, compatible with every AccessNet code table since 1993.
AccessNet K-Series controllers decide who may open a door, record who did, and tell someone when a door is forced, held or tried too often. They are installed on 1.1 million doors in 39 countries, in laboratories, data centers, hospitals, airports and government buildings.
Every K-Series controller fits the standard back box of the AccessNet 4K and its successors and reads their code tables, so customers can replace hardware door by door without re-enrolling staff. Management is from a single console, on premises or hosted by TriOptimum Network Services.

Applications
K-Series controllers are used wherever a door needs to know who opened it: research and university laboratories, where access is often tied to training records; data centers, where every entry to a hall is logged against a ticket; hospital pharmacies and records rooms; airside doors at airports; and the back offices of retailers and banks. A single AccessNet console can manage 40,000 doors across several countries, with local administrators for each site.
Installation
Controllers are installed by approved AccessNet installers, who are trained and certified by Security Products every two years. A typical door takes about ninety minutes to fit where an AccessNet back box already exists, and half a day where it does not. Every installation ends with a commissioning record that lists the door, the controller’s serial number, the firmware version and the person who changed the factory code.
Service and support
Security Products supports each K-Series model for at least fifteen years after it was last sold. Firmware updates, including security fixes, are signed by TriOptimum and can be installed from the console or on site. Customers with a monitoring contract can have failed or forced doors reported to one of our two monitoring centers around the clock.
Good practice
- Change every factory default code at installation, and record new codes on the zone card supplied.
- Review event logs at least monthly, and investigate repeated failed attempts.
- Retire codes when people leave. The console can expire codes automatically.
- Keep firmware current. Controllers more than two releases behind are flagged in the console.
Ordering
K-Series controllers are sold through approved installers and, for projects of more than 500 doors, directly by Security Products. Standard models ship from Halsworth and Elk Grove Village within ten working days. Trade-in credit is available for AccessNet 4K controllers until 31 March 2027.
