People and safety
Everyone who works for TriOptimum, or alongside us, should go home in the same condition they arrived. In 2025 our lost-time injury rate fell to 0.17, the lowest in our history.
Safety
| Measure | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 |

| Lost-time injury rate (per 200,000 hours) | 0.22 | 0.19 | 0.17 |
| Total recordable injury rate | 0.61 | 0.55 | 0.49 |
| Serious injuries | 14 | 11 | 9 |
| Fatalities | 0 | 1 | 0 |
The fatality in 2024 was a contractor at a materials plant in Chile. Our investigation, shared with the contractor’s employer and the authorities, led to changes in the isolation of conveyor systems at all nine of our plants.
Crews aboard our facilities in orbit are covered by the same safety management system as every other site, with additional medical monitoring. Personnel at Citadel Station and aboard the research vessel Von Braun were relocated as a precaution in October 2026, without injury.
Fair work
We pay at least a living wage to every employee, and require the same of contractors working on our sites. Women hold 31 percent of senior leadership roles and 27 percent of all roles. Our gender pay gap reports for the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Australia are published each year.
Raising concerns
Employees and contractors can raise concerns about safety or conduct with their manager, with Ethics and Compliance, or anonymously through the Integrity Line. Nothing prevents anyone from raising a concern with a regulator. See ethics and compliance.
