The drawing office of TriOptimum Research Laboratories has drawn a set of sheets for the anniversary, in the conventions our engineers have used since the 1950s: one product or place per sheet, a title block, and nothing that is not needed. Sets printed on cartridge paper were given to every employee with more than twenty-five years’ service.

PRODUCT LINEAGE 1951–2026 An engineering drawing lining up five TriOptimum products on a common ground line: the Model 1 pressure gauge of 1951, the RC-12 relay cabinet of 1968, the AccessNet 4K keypad of 1993, a 42U network rack of 2011 and the HG-40 hydroponic grove module of 2017, with a dated baseline beneath them. 112233445566AABBCCDD - - - -1350 AFF12345195119681993201120172026GENERAL ARRANGEMENT · FRONT ELEVATIONSOBJECTS SHOWN AT INDIVIDUAL SCALES. The anniversary open day on 3 October brought 11,600 visitors to Halsworth Park, more than the campus had ever held. Because so many people could not get into the founders’ workshop before closing, the campus is open to the public on the first Saturday of each month until the end of the year.

Visitors can see the rebuilt Mill Lane workshop, watch a Model 1 gauge calibrated on the original dead-weight tester, tour the materials hall of the Research Laboratories and visit the Corporate Archive’s anniversary display. The Vault Works is open on request.

Entry is free and there is no need to book. Parking is at the north gate. The campus is step-free except for the workshop, which has a ramp.

In January 2026 the Board set aside £7.5 million to pay for 750 engineering apprenticeships over five years in the communities around our largest sites. Apprentices are recruited locally, train for a recognized technician qualification while they work, and are not required to stay with TriOptimum when they finish.

The first 150 apprentices started in September 2026, in field service, data center operations, manufacturing and laboratory engineering.

Apprenticeships funded, 2026 to 2030
